Why do I need CAPI if I already have the Meta Pixel installed?

Since Apple's iOS 14 update, browser-based pixels can no longer track users who've opted out of tracking — typically 30–40% of your audience on iOS devices. This means Meta is optimising your ad campaigns on incomplete data, wasting budget finding the right buyers. CAPI (Conversions API) sends conversion events server-to-server, bypassing browser restrictions entirely, recovering that lost data and dramatically improving Event Match Quality — which directly improves how Meta's algorithm targets and optimises your ads. Without CAPI, you're running blind.

Do you need access to my website to set up tracking?

We need access to your Google Tag Manager container (or we create one and install GTM on your site), your GA4 account, your Meta Events Manager, and typically WordPress/Shopify/WIX admin access to install the GTM snippet. For server-side CAPI, we may also need access to your hosting environment or your website's backend. We clearly communicate what access we need and why before requesting anything, and we use minimum necessary permissions — we don't need (or ask for) full admin access to anything unnecessarily.

My GA4 is already set up. Can you audit and improve it?

What is Event Match Quality (EMQ) and why does it matter?

Event Match Quality is Meta's score (0–10) for how well your Pixel and CAPI events can be matched to actual Facebook/Instagram users. Higher EMQ means Meta can attribute more of your conversions to real people, giving its algorithm better signals to find similar high-value buyers. Advertisers with EMQ above 8.0 see dramatically better campaign performance than those below 6.0 — often 2–3× better ROAS at the same spend level. What's the difference between GA4 and Universal Analytics?

Universal Analytics (the old Google Analytics) was permanently sunset by Google in July 2023 — it no longer processes new data. GA4 is the replacement, and it works very differently: it's event-based (every interaction is an "event") rather than session-based, uses a different data model, has different attribution, and reports data differently.
